According to a statement from the Croatian parliament, Tomcic said
this at a meeting with the Minister for extraordinary issues and the
chair of the Russian section of an inter-government Croatian-
Russian commission for trade-economy and science-technology co-
operation, Sergey Soygu.
Minister Soygu advised that by August 1, the text of an agreement
between the two countries should be reached relating to mine
clearance as well as assistance in fire fighting and the supply of
modern aircraft for that purpose, within which deadlines would be
defined.
Tomcic emphasised that Croatia was interested in the rapid signing
of an agreement on a project to construct the Druzba Adria gas
pipeline. It was also highlighted that Russia's acceptance to be a
partner country at the next Autumn Zagreb Fair would represent a
strong contribution to further development in economic relations
between the two countries, the statement says.
