Representatives of Croatian artists waited for parliament members in front of the building handing over pamphlets to remind them about the new laws on insurance contributions and income tax, which they say can endanger culture. The new taxes could jeopardise artists activities, the artists warned. The pamphlets note that Croatia has 13,083 artists, of whom 1,239 are professionals and self-employed artists whose artistic activity is their only and main occupation. (hina) th rml sb
