The final deadline for presidential elections is September 21,
Djindjic said.
The mandate of Serbia's current president, Milan Milutinovic, who
the Hague-based war crimes tribunal indicted for war crimes in
Kosovo in 1999 along with Slobodan Milosevic, expires in November
2002.
So far, Cacak mayor and member of the ruling DOS coalition Velimir
Ilic has announced his candidacy. The vice president of the federal
government, Miroljub Labus, was also mentioned as a possible
candidate.
