PODGORICA, May 22 (Hina) - The Montenegrin parliament on Wednesday
expressed a vote of no confidence in Prime Minister Filip
Vujanovic's government. #L#
MPs of all parties denied the vote of confidence, with the exception
of Montenegrin President Milo Djukanovic's Democratic Party of
Socialists (DPS).
The vote of no confidence initiative was launched by the Liberal
Alliance (LS). After the signing of the Belgrade Agreement on new
Serbia-Montenegro relations, the LS denied confidence in the
minority government. Ministers of the Social Democratic Party
(SDP) left the Vujanovic government for the same reason.
It has been announced the parties of the pro-Montenegrin bloc (DPS,
SDP, LS) will hold intensive negotiations on the possibility of
forming a new government which would advocate Montenegro's
sovereignty. If no agreement is reached, Djukanovic will be forced
to call early parliamentary elections, as he himself announced.
