allegedly guilty even before a court verdict was adopted. #L#
For more than a year some media in Serbia, Croatia and Italy have
been accusing Djukanovic of not fighting cigarette smuggling and of
being personally involved in the affair, the Alliance said in a
statement and added that both he and Croatian citizens of
Montenegrin nationality did care whether Montenegro's head of
state was spoken about as a smuggler or a famous statesman.
The statement said that some circles in Italy and Serbia have been
belittling Montenegro's every step towards independence,
especially the improvement of relations with Croatia, with the
story about Djukanovic, smugglers and cigarettes.
