"The president of the Independent Union of Secondary School
Employees, Andrija Puljevic, should answer to taxpayers as the two-
day strike cost three million kuna (EUR405,400) without providing
teachers with anything significant," Preporod president Vinko
Filipovic told reporters in Zagreb.
He claimed the branch collective agreement, which had been the
reason for the strike, did not provide secondary school employees
with much bigger rights.
Everything Puljevic went to strike for was agreed on in either the
previous collective agreement or the basic collective agreement
for public servants, said Filipovic.
