not participate in Monday's strike.#L#
That minority union with a membership of 2,000 high school teachers
out of 20,000 employed in secondary schools, has a majority of
members in five schools in Croatia. Not one of these schools were on
strike on Monday, the union president, Vinko Filipovic, told Hina.
According to the Independent Union of Employees in Secondary
Schools in Croatia, 70 percent of those employed in secondary
schools and dormitories participated in the strike.
The majority secondary school union started a strike on Monday and
will continue until its demands are met with the signing of a
collective agreement that will recognise holiday bonus, Christmas
bonus, gifts for children and wage supplements.
Filipovic in principle supported the Independent Union's demands,
however, he believes that these demands are currently
unrealistic.
