Union requests that high school professors should have their school
schedules reduced, Christmas bonuses and children'' gifts
regulated through the collective agreement are illegal, Vavra told
a news conference.
The professors' quota is determined by a special rulebook passed by
the education ministry, and Christmas bonuses and other material
rights by a basic collective agreement for public services, he
said.
The union last week threatened to hold a strike from May 20 if the
education ministry does not sign a branch collective agreement for
high schools by May 12.
