PRISTINA, May 5 (Hina) - A member of the Kosovo parliament's
presidency, Gojko Savic, has announced the Serb coalition Povratak
would enter the Kosovo government next week, the Pristina daily in
Albanian Koha Ditore said on Sunday. #L#
The decision on the coalition's participation in the government
comes after this week's meeting between Povratak's members and
officials of the Coordinating Centre for Kosovo, said Savic.
"We made a decision to propose certain candidates for the minister
of agriculture and forestry, as well as two persons who will be
engaged in the Kosovo government and UNMIK (local UN mission) as
coordinators for Serb return issues," Savic said.
The priority for Kosovo Serb representatives in parliament and the
government is the return of Serbs and other minorities to Kosovo, he
added.
Serbs have been boycotting the Kosovo government for the past six
weeks, demanding the establishment of a return ministry, which was
opposed by the UN civil administrator in Kosovo, Michael Steiner.
The names of the Kosovo Serb representatives in the province's
government will be know on Thursday.
