Unionists and workers from all parts of Croatia are marking this
year's Labour Day by protesting against announced changes to the
labour law which, in their opinion, will drastically reduce
workers' rights.
"Change Yourself and not the Labour Law", read some of the banners,
while protesters are carrying "yellow cards" for the government for
its "rough fouls" against workers' rights.
The protesters sent a message to the government saying they would
not agree to the reduction of their rights.
"We will not allow unilateral reduction of workers' rights," the
president of the Federation of Independent unions of Croatia, Davor
Juric said.
