Upon landing, Ojdanic was escorted by police to The Hague.
He arrived in The Netherlands with his wife and attorney. Radio B 92
says Ojdanic might be arraigned tomorrow. The indictment charges
him with crimes against humanity committed against 800,000 Kosovo
Albanians in 1999.
Ojdanic has been accused alongside former Yugoslav President
Slobodan Milosevic and two of Milosevic's associates.
Before departing for The Hague, Ojdanic said he would "defend
himself and the Yugoslav Army" from accusations of crimes against
Albanian civilians in Kosovo. He reiterated he "feel(s) like every
hero."
Ojdanic said he would use recordings and transcripts of his
conversations with former NATO commander for Europe Wesley Clark.
At the time of NATO's April 1999 intervention against Yugoslavia,
Ojdanic was at the helm of the Yugoslav Army, and was subsequently
appointed defence minister.
