The indictment charges him with crimes against humanity committed against 800,000 Kosovo Albanians in 1999. Ojdanic has been accused alongside former Yugoslav President Slobodan Milosevic and two of Milosevic's associates. Before departing for The Hague, Ojdanic said he would "defend himself and the Yugoslav Army" from accusations of crimes against Albanian civilians in Kosovo. He reiterated he "feel(s) like every hero." Ojdanic said he would use recordings and transcripts of his conversations with former NATO commander for Europe Wesley Clark.
