The father of four, the 42-year-old Antun B. from Donja Moticina, a
village near Nasice in eastern Croatia, demanded talks with
Minister Ivica Pancic and the settlement of his financial
problems.
Due to the threat, the ministry building was evacuated between 8.45
and 9.30 am.
After he was disarmed, the war veteran was received by the head of
the ministry's department for demobilised veterans and psycho-
social assistance, Mladen Loncar. Police then escorted him to a
hospital.
The ministry said Antun B. receives a 4,384 kuna (EUR595) monthly
pension, child's allowance, disability allowance, and is on the
ministry's list of people who will be provided with better
housing.
