Nevertheless, the current course of events should not cause concern in
Kosovo, he said. "These elections will bring Serbia within the borders
it deserves. This is the continuation of the policy which has already
narrowed Serbia's borders," he said, voicing hope that democratic
forces in Serbia would muster the strength to send the Radicals and
Milosevic's forces to The Hague or into the opposition.
Kosovo Serb representatives were not satisfied with the election
result either. Oliver Ivanovic, a member of the Kosovo parliament's
presidency, said the victory of the Radicals was dangerous for the
process of normalisation in Kosovo.
"The Assembly in which the Radicals and the Socialist Party of Serbia
have so many seats is a bloc which to a great extent caused what
happened to us in Kosovo. This is a major warning to citizens as well
as to the international community," Ivanovic said.
