BELGRADE, Dec 18 (Hina) - The Serb Radical Party of Vojislav Seselj is
in the lead in voter support polls ahead of extraordinary
parliamentary elections, due to take place on December 28. The SRS is
followed by G17 Plus of Miroljub Labus, the Democratic Party of Serbia
of Vojislav Kostunica, the Democratic Party of assassinated Prime
Minister Zoran Djindjic, which is led by Defence Minister Boris Tadic,
reads the latest survey conducted by the "Strategic marketing"
agency.#L#
The survey, which was conducted on 9-12 December and included 1,535
respondents with the right to vote, shows that had the parliamentary
elections been held on December 14, the Radicals would have won 25
percent of the vote of some 52 percent of voters who know who they
will vote for.
Apart from those four parties, the Socialist Party of Serbia of
Slobodan Milosevic and the coalition of the Serb Revival Movement of
Vuk Draskovic and the New Serbia party of Velimir Ilic would make it
into the parliament as well.
According to the survey, the ratings of G17 Plus are improving in
relation to November, Kostunica's Democratic Party of Serbia enjoys
the support of the same percentage of the electorate (17 percent),
while support for the Democratic Party has dropped to 12 percent.
Eighteen parties and coalitions will run in the parliamentary
elections on 28 December.
