It is unacceptable for the HSP to support Sanader's government during
the upcoming vote in parliament, because that would mean that the HSP
is a bought opposition, Tadic said, adding that it was also
unacceptable of Sanader to ask opposition parties for a six-month
break from criticism, which he said never been granted anyone
anywhere.
Tadic went on to say that the Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) broke
all pre-electoral agreements with the HSP. How can Sanader hold talks
with right-winger Silvio Berlusconi, who is at the helm of the EU,
while at the same time the HSP cannot take part in the executive
authority, Tadic wondered.
"Also unacceptable for the HSP is the behaviour of some ambassadors to
Croatia who directly undermined Croatia's sovereignty with their
statements about the detrimental effect of the HSP's participation in
the new government," Tadic told the news conference.
