Belgium's Foreign Ministry yesterday instructed its Mission to the
EU to notify the Council of Ministers that Belgium had completed the
ratification of the agreement, said the statement.
It added that Finland's parliament ratified the agreement on Dec.
9.
Only three EU nations have not ratified the agreement yet -- the UK,
the Netherlands, and Italy, the statement said, adding that
ratification in Italy is nearing completion. The former two
countries have suspended the ratification, insisting that Croatia
extradite General Ante Gotovina to the Hague war crimes tribunal.
