ZAGREB, Dec 11 (Hina) - The Independent Croatian Trade Unions (NHS) on Thursday sent a letter to premier-designate Ivo Sanader criticising his announcement about the abolishment of the Ministry of Labour and Social Welfare as a
separate ministry and integrating it with some other ministry.

Not wishing to condemn the announced reduction of ministries in
advance, as it may contribute to making the government more
efficient and cheaper, the NHS nevertheless cannot accept the
Labour Ministry not being an independent ministry, reads the
letter.
The union believes that Sanader's announcement is "premature and
hasty" as well as that he should have consulted with trade unions
about his move first.
