Speaking in Osijek on Thursday, Mucnjak said that regardless of who
won the elections, attempts would again be made to restrict
workers' rights and that the unions' obligation to keep the
acquired rights through collective bargaining would become more
important.
The HUS will distribute leaflets calling on its members to go to the
polls in large numbers, Mucnjak said, advising union members to
vote for candidates who advocated workers' and union rights and
worked actively towards improving labour legislation.
Tonci Tadic, Snjezana Biga Friganovic, Jadranka Kosor and Zdravko
Tomac are identified as such politicians on the union leaflet.
