According to the agency, Australian Rob Sauncen, a member of the
World Bank's delegation was hurt when a stone hit his head. He was
hospitalised in Kosovska Mitrovica.
The attackers also set fire to four vehicles of the KFOR
international peacekeeping force. A bus in which the said
delegation arrived in the city was destroyed, too.
A spokesman for the UN Mission in Kosovo confirmed reports on the
incident, and said that about 50 persons had thrown stones at the
restaurant.
Kosovska Mitrovica is 40 kilometres north of Pristina. The Ibar
river divides the city, and the northern part is mainly populated by
Serbs, while the southern by Albanians.
In late November, the UNMIK took over control over northern
Kosovska Mitrovica where local Serbs had established parallel
structures of authority.
