Following information which the international mission in Kosovo
received from the New-York based UN headquarters on Wednesday
night, Kosovo Force (KFOR) and the police of the UN Mission in
Kosovo (UNMIK) jointly set up check points for controlling cars
entering Pristina, and increased the number of patrols in areas
where diplomatic offices of foreign governments and police
stations are located, the UNMIK police said in a press release.
According to the same source, the extra measures would remain in
force until Monday morning when the security situation would again
be considered.
