Djukanovic believes that even though the elections were won by the
Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ), which he said was an expression of
citizens' democratic will, "Croatia will intensively continue its
integration into Europe and Euro-Atlantic associations".
"I believe that Croatia has entered a phase of stable economic and
democratic European development. Such a Croatia is always a welcome
partner to everybody in the region, including Montenegro,"
Djukanovic told reporters in Podgorica on Monday.
Congratulating the winners, Djukanovic said he hoped Montenegro
would resume positive, good-neighbourly, political and all other
forms of cooperation with Croatia.
