Speakers at the rally, held under the title "11th Hour", criticised
the incumbent authorities in Croatia, led by the Social Democrats,
and promised more assistance to Bosnian Croats if the HDZ won the
upcoming parliamentary elections.
The leader of the HDZ of Bosnia-Herzegovina, Barisa Colak,
dismissed as speculation reports about disrupted relations between
the HDZ of Bosnia-Herzegovina and the HDZ in Croatia. "Our
cooperation could have been better, but the support of the HDZ in
Bosnia-Herzegovina to the HDZ in Croatia was never in question,"
Colak said.
He dismissed objections that the HDZ of Bosnia-Herzegovina was a
nationalist party which caused divisions among Bosnian Croats and
added that such accusations were the result of the party's advocacy
of the equality of Bosnian Croats.
