Novosel said his party would focus its efforts on protecting
workers' interests. "We support international cooperation, but are
opposed to uncontrolled capitalism and unscrupulous employers," he
stressed.
Stanislav Antic, who heads a list of independent candidates in
constituency no. 9, said he supported productive employment,
especially in tourism, agriculture and the metal-processing
industry. Antic was a successful businessman under communist rule,
managing a machine tool factory in Zadar.
The Croatian European Party, independent Ukrainian minority
candidate Nikola Zastrizni, Liberal Party candidate representing
the Czech and Slovak minorities Velimir Lalic, and several less
known independent candidates also presented their election
platforms on national television.
