BELGRADE, Nov 5 (Hina) - Special war crimes prosecutor Vladimir Vukcevic has taken over investigations against four ethnic Albanians from Kosovo -- Hashim Thaqi, Agim Qeku, Ramush Haradinaj and Daut Haradinaj -- who have been charged
with genocide and terrorism, the Serbian Justice Ministry said in a statement on Wednesday.

The special prosecutor is authorised under a law to prosecute any
suspected perpetrators of war crimes and crimes against humanity
and international law committed in the territory of the former
Yugoslavia regardless of their citizenship or ethnic background.
Hashim Thaqi is the leader of the Democratic Party of Albanians,
Agim Qeku is the commander of the Kosovo Protection Corps, and
Ramush Haradinaj is the leader of the Alliance for the Future of
Kosovo.
