Ministry to make public a list with the names of soldiers who were granted housing and housing loans by the ministry.
ZAGREB, Oct 31 (Hina) - The head of the Association of Disabled
Croatian Homeland War Veterans (HVIDR), Damir Varazdinac, said on
Friday the association would investigate the lawfulness of the
decision by the War Veterans Affairs Ministry to make public a list
with the names of soldiers who were granted housing and housing
loans by the ministry. #L#
"If we establish that making the list public at a computer point in
the ministry is contrary to legal provisions, we may sue the
ministry," Varazdinac told Hina on the phone.
"We have always inquired why the names of war veterans who were
granted housing should be made public but not the names of other
people granted state-owned flats," Varazdinac said, adding that
the decision was obviously "an act of self-will of Minister Ivica
Pancic".
