The increase was caused by higher prices for personal hygiene,
housing, and food.
Living continues to be most expensive on the island of Krk, where
the minimum costs of food, hygiene, clothing, housing, transport
and entertainment amount to 7,200 kuna.
Zagreb is the cheapest place to live, where the minimum living costs
for a family of four in September were 6,781 kuna.
In Zagreb, the average salary covers 58.7 percent of the minimum
living costs, while on Krk the ratio is 55.29 percent.
The consumer basket does not include school books, which last month
significantly affected some families' expenditure.
