The incident took place around 9AM Tuesday when the Croatian police
stopped the construction works saying they were taking place on
Croatian soil and that Slovene construction workers needed the
approval of the Croatian Interior Ministry, STA said. The
construction works have been on hold since then.
The spokesman for the Koper police department, Vojko Zivec, said
that a Croatian police officer entered Slovenia's territory during
the incident.
The news agency said the Koper police had informed the ministry in
Ljubljana about the incident but it did not know whether the
authorities in Ljubljana would react.
