According to a statement issued by the government, the agreement
reached between former Slovene Prime Minister Janez Drnovsek and
Croatian Prime Minister Ivica Racan in Zagreb last year was
functioning well and there had been no fishing-related incidents in
the Bay of Piran since it took effect.
The Slovene government put forward a bill to ratify the agreement
between Slovenia and Croatia on simplifying border control
procedures on roads and railways. The agreement was signed by
foreign ministers Dimitrij Rupel of Slovenia and Tonino Picula of
Croatia in Koper on April 14.
