The ministry issued a statement saying that Solana did not offer
mediation, but expressed readiness to help Croatia and Slovenia
define the border at sea.
Croatia highly appreciates the work of Javier Solana, particularly
his rich experience and knowledge of the region, as well as his
advocacy of Croatia's accession into European associations, the
statement said.
The solution of open questions between Croatia and Slovenia, with
full respect for international law, is one of the basic
determinants of Croatia's foreign policy, which has been
reaffirmed with its activities on the international scene, said the
statement.
