Friday held talks with the mayor of the Adriatic resort of Dubrovnik, Dubravka Suica.
DUBROVNIK/ZAGREB, Oct 24 (Hina) - The deputy chief of the OSCE
mission in Croatia, Ambassador Robert W. Becker, and the head of the
Croatian government's office for cooperation with international
institutions, Tomislav Vidosevic, on Friday held talks with the
mayor of the Adriatic resort of Dubrovnik, Dubravka Suica. #L#
The purpose of the trip was to hold consultations with local
authorities on improving cooperation between the Organisation for
Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), local authorities and
the government in Zagreb, concerning the mandate of the OSCE
mission, reads a press release issued by the OSCE.
Mayor Suica and her guests talked about the positive role of
councils of ethnic minorities set up in Dubrovnik after the
implementation of the constitutional law on minorities' rights.
On Saturday, Ambassador Becker is to open an OSCE-sponsored course
in which the newly-appointed representatives of minorities will be
trained for their functions.
