Gvozden Flego told reporters. #L#
The decree has been passed primarily to protect students' interests
given that their diplomas were questionable, he said.
The Split Polytechnic has 9,200 enrolled students, the minister
said, voicing hope a revision of its studies would prove that they
are in keeping with Croatian standards and that its diplomas would
be recognised.
Split Polytechnic dean Boris Anzulovic told a news conference the
government's decree was against the law and the result of Flego's
"unbelievable personal vindictiveness".
