parliamentary conference held in Sibenik concluded on Saturday.

The conference, which opened yesterday, focused on the EU's policy
towards Southeast Europe countries and the role of their
parliaments in the integration process.
The event was attended by representatives of the EU and parliaments
or governments of Germany, Hungary and countries of the Stability
Pact for Southeast Europe. Also present was the Pact's special
coordinator, Erhard Busek.
Croatia was represented by MP Mirjana Feric-Vac and Assistant
European Integration Minister Visnja Samardzija.
The main topics of the conference were the region's countries'
prospects of joining the EU.
The event was organised by Germany's Friedrich Ebert Foundation.
