BELGRADE, Sept 20 (Hina) - The controversial leader of Slovenia's
right wing, MP Zmago Jelincic, organised in Belgrade on Saturday
what he called an international conference on succession to the
Adriatic Sea and on borders within the former Yugoslavia. #L#
Opening the conference, the president of the Slovene National Party
reiterated his familiar theses that present-day Croatia was a
successor of the WWII Independent State of Croatia, that Istria
should be returned to Slovenia and the Zadar area to Italy, and that
Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina should have access to the open
sea.
Nobody from Serbia and Montenegro authorities, nor any prominent
historians and scientists attended. Among the participants were
those who supported Slobodan Milosevic's aggression policy.
Coverage of the event in Slovene media today was scarce.
