According to the report, the ministry and the Office of the
President of the Republic have received letters from dissatisfied
military policemen who were not named.
The spokesman confirmed that the defence ministry had received the
anonymous letters, but explained that the ministry was receiving
anonymous complaints of various types from its employees or
citizens every day, and that over 90 percent of complaints were
unfounded and false.
The ministry's position is that it will not comment on anonymous
letters, which does not mean that an internal investigation will
not be launched into the letters, he said.
The office of President Stjepan Mesic has confirmed that it
received the letter from military policemen, and added that Mesic
has not seen it as he is on a tour to the United States.
According to the daily, the military policemen complained about the
situation and personnel policy in the military police.
