BELGRADE, Sept 10 (Hina) - Croatian President Stjepan Mesic met in Belgrade on Wednesday afternoon the Acting President of Serbia and Parliament President, Natasa Micic, and Premier Zoran Zivkovic. #L# Micic told reporters after the meeting that the two countries would support one another in efforts to draw closer to the European Union. She said that the talks addressed human, property and refugee rights, as well as the permanent cancellation of visa requirements for Serbia and Montenegro's citizens. Expressing satisfaction with the talks, Premier Zoran Zivkovic said they showed that relations between the two countries would continue to progress. "Now that we have cancelled visa requirements for Croatian citizens, we expect Croatia to cancel visa requirements as well," Zivkovic said, adding that they also discussed Croatia's lawsuit against Serbia and Montenegro before the Hague-based International Court of Justice and "agreed that this issue can be settled also in the interest of Serbian and Montenegrin citizens". Zivkovic said that Mesic had agreed to pay another visit to Belgrade on 15 February 2004, to attend a celebration marking the 200th anniversary of the modern Serbian state and the first Serbian constitution. President Mesic also met representatives of the Croatian minority and non-government organisations working on refugee return. (hina) rml
