Under the bill, the judicial authorities would decide whether an
ICTY indictment is founded and legal and how to adjust the existing
law with the Convention on the Protection of Human Rights and
Fundamental Freedom. Until now, such decisions were made by the
executive authority.
The government is confident that the amendments would affect the
harmonisation of the Constitutional law with the ICTY Statute, said
a statement issued after the government's closed session.
