ZAGREB, Sept 11 (Hina) - Croatia's government supports the stance that it is necessary to professionalise the armed forces, but it considers Libra MP Jozo Rados's bills on abolishing compulsory military service as premature. #L# After its closed-door session on Thursday, the government sent its opinion on the bills to the parliament, read a press release issued by the government's public relations office. The Ivica Racan Cabinet discussed the implementation of commitments under the Stabilisation and Association Agreement (SAA) signed with the European Union. The government also accepted a report on the course of negotiations between Croatian and Polish delegations on defining a draft bilateral agreement on cooperation in the prevention and management of natural and other disasters. It set up a commission for the construction of public roads, to be headed by Premier Racan. (hina) ms
