Racan said that the government planned to complete the answers to
the EU membership questionnaire by October 9 when he would take them
to Brussels.
The prime minister said he expected the parliament to go through an
extensive agenda containing more than 90 items by October 15 or a
day or two later.
"In this respect, elections can take place on November 23, if the
President of the Republic agrees," he said.
Racan said that coalition leaders agreed at today's meeting that
the work relating to Croatia's efforts to join the EU was going
according to plan.
