Stressing that "the matter was much more complicated", Archbishop
Bozanic said that although methods and time limits had been
defined, the job was not done on time.
"We are still at the beginning," he told a press conference in the
parliament at which reporters were briefed about plans for the
celebration of the 510th anniversary of the Battle of Krbava and the
construction of a church in Udbina in memory of Croatian martyrs.
Asked to comment on reports published in the Croatian press earlier
this week on his possible promotion to the rank of cardinal and
possible appointment of a Croat, Archbishop Nikola Eterovic, as the
Vatican's Secretary of State, Bozanic answered that those were only
media speculations.
