Ratko Mladic and another 18 suspects believed to be hiding in Serbia.
BELGRADE, Sept 19 (Hina) - The president of the Hague-based UN war
crimes tribunal for the former Yugoslavia, Judge Theodor Meron,
called on authorities in Belgrade on Friday to urgently arrest
former Bosnian Serb military leader Ratko Mladic and another 18
suspects believed to be hiding in Serbia. #L#
Speaking at a press conference at the end of his visit, Meron
praised the authorities in Belgrade for progress in cooperation,
but said that much of what had been promised remained to be
fulfilled, including allowing access to documents and arresting
the indictees.
The tribunal president was on a two-day visit at the invitation of
the government of Serbia and Montenegro.
