ZAGREB HOSTING WORKSHOP ON SOUTHEAST EUROPE'S MODERN HISTORY

ZAGREB, Sept 20 (Hina) - Zagreb is hosting a three-day workshop on the common history of Southeast Europe, whose aim is to draw up an alternative teaching material for history teachers in primary and secondary schools in the region, organisers told reporters on Saturday. #L# The project was launched by the Thessaloniki-based Centre for Democracy and Reconciliation in Southeast Europe in response to demands from teachers who complained about the quality of textbooks in some countries, it was said. Organisers added reactions in individual countries varied, from acceptance in Bulgaria to "cold ignoring" in Croatia.
