Tomcic congratulated Bulgaria on receiving an invitation to join
NATO and its success at negotiations for full membership in the EU,
the statement said.
Tomcic and Simeon Saxe-Cobourg-Gotha said the two countries had
very good relations, without open issues. They said Croatia and
Bulgaria had historical ties and common priorities in the foreign
policy -- joining the EU and NATO.
The two officials expressed satisfaction with the improvement in
economic relations, particularly with last year's trade. Bulgaria
is partner country at this year's Zagreb's International Autumn
Fair.
Tomcic and his guest agreed that cooperation between the two
countries' parliaments was also successful.
