After that the elections can be held, probably on 23 November, with
no problem, Racan told reporters after Wednesday's session of the
ruling coalition leaders.
He added that it was very important that the job with the completion
of answers to the EU questionnaire would be done by mid-October as
well as that the parliament adopt all planned acts by that time.
The leaders of the five ruling parties on Wednesday afternoon
discussed ways in which those duties should be performed by the
government and the parliament on schedule.
"We talked about the fulfilment of Croatia's obligations towards
the EU," Racan told reporters, recalling that Croatia should answer
numerous questions from the EU questionnaire and complete a series
of law packages pertaining to Croatia's admission into the Union.
The leaders of the ruling coalition talked about the reform in the
state administration as well.
