The Sarajevo-based Oslobodjenje daily reported on Sunday that the
police were looking for Sejo Dumanjic, Fikret Kajevic, Jasmin Djipo
and Adnan Sabanovic. Their photographs were shown by the federal
television network FTV last week.
Police have questioned about 40 persons, including Fahrudin
Radoncic, influential owner of the newspaper publishing house
Avaz. Radoncic told reporters after more than five hours of
questioning that he been had called as a witness and not as a
suspect.
Speaking in an interview with his Dnevni Avaz daily, Radoncic said
that the police had been particularly interested in his
relationship with the director and majority owner of the Sarajevska
Pivara brewery, Hilmo Selimovic, whose family house was one of the
targets of attack.
According to unofficial information, the identified persons are
the direct perpetrators of the attacks, and the police are now
trying to identify their bosses. It is widely believed that the
attacks were a form of blackmail and racketeering against the
wealthy business owners.
