Police pressed charges against two minors for the attack on
Egyptian student Emad Sadami (age 22) in late July, the head of the
Zagreb criminal police sector, Zeljko Prsa, told a news conference
on Wednesday.
Prsa said that police were still establishing the identity of
another three attackers on Sadami, who are apparently not in Zagreb
at the moment.
Charges have been pressed against two minors for the attack on the
11-year old son of an Egyptian Embassy official which took place on
August 6.
Charges have been pressed against five minors (aged 16 and 17) and a
20-year old due to a suspicion that on the same day they attacked a
47-year old Austrian citizen of Pakistani background, his wife and
17-year old son, who arrived in Zagreb as tourists.
One of the suspected minors took part in all three attacks and has
declared himself as a sympathiser of "skinheads", while the other
attackers claim they were not motivated by racism. They said they
committed those acts under the influence of alcohol.
