ZAGREB POLICE DISCOVER GROUP OF ECOCARD COUNTERFEITERS

ZAGREB, Aug 11 (Hina) - Zagreb police have arrested two members of a group suspected of forging more than 87,000 Austrian "ecocards" estimated at around EUR260,000. Other members of the group are still at large. #L# The two men have been taken before an investigating judge. According to the police, the group decided to counterfeit the cards, used by vehicles travelling through Austria, in mid-July. Due to the bad quality of the forgeries, the person who ordered them refused to buy the cards, which resulted in a shoot-out in Zagreb on Saturday. Police searched the printing office of one of the suspects where they found 87,413 ecocards. (hina) lml
