ZAGREB, Aug 16 (Hina) - Reporting on fires on Saturday evening, Croatia's National Information Centre said fires in the Raducic area near Kistanje and in Lonjsko polje near Osekovo were put out during the night and in the morning,
while a new fire broke out near Imotski in the afternoon.

The Imotski fire has burned 15 hectares of grass and orchards but
has been contained. Some 150 hectares of grass and cane was consumed
by the Lonjsko polje fire.
Firefighters have been successful in keeping under control a fire
which broke out on the southern island of Hvar on August 12 and has
consumed underbrush, forest and crops on an area of some 800
hectares.
