VINKOVCI, Aug 14 (Hina) - Vukovar police have identified the person who doused a monument to Major General Blago Zadro, one of the commanders of the Croatian defence forces in Vukovar in 1991, in grey paint and tried to set fire to
the Croatian flag hoisted nearby last Sunday.

Police say the person is a Croatian Serb with a criminal record.
Charges have been pressed against the perpetrator who was brought
before an investigating judge at Vukovar County Court Thursday.
