ZAGREB, July 18 (Hina) - The final bill on media will be forwarded to the government in the latter half of August while parliament would receive it in September, Culture Minister Antun Vujic told a news conference on Friday.

the government in the latter half of August while parliament would

Vujic called on reporters, their associations and all interested
parties to put forward proposals before the final version of the act
was drafted, in order to harmonise the media act with the journalist
profession, media experts and the public, after which it would be
sent to the government and parliament.
Among the most important novelties in the law, Vujic pointed to
regulations on the transparency of the ownership, work and
activities of the media and the advancement of the journalists'
status.
He said the new draft includes remarks made by experts of the
Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE). Vujic
said OSCE experts hailed the part of the law which regulated that
the ownership structure must be made public.
