BELGRADE, June 30 (Hina) - Bosnian Serb Zeljko Meakic, whom the UN war crimes tribunal at The Hague (ICTY) indicted for war crimes in the Omarska camp near Prijedor, surrendered to the Serbian Interior Ministry Monday, B92 Television

In 1995 the ICTY indicted the former commander in the Omarska camp
for genocide, crimes against humanity, harsh violations of Geneva
conventions and the violation of laws and customs of war.
According to the Belgrade-based television, Meakic should be
extradited by the end of the week.
